Wanderlust Travel Photo Gallery

Every year Wanderlust magazine launches the UK's biggest and best travel photo competition. They've teamed up with Papua New Guinea Tourist Office to send four winners of the competition on an incredible photographic commission to the country.

Exotic, remote the stuff of true travel legend - welcome to Papua New Guinea! You'll never be short of a photo opportunity in this wild and diverse country. Hike through volcanic mountains covered in steaming rainforest where more than 800 indigenous languages are still spoken by tribesmen. Witness a tribal singsing (festival), snap Bird of Paradise or explore underwater in the pristine coral atolls of Papua New Guinea's islands.

The finalists, whittled down from over 8,000 entries, will be on display in a stunning gallery exhibition at the Destinations Holiday & Travel Show, so you can take some time out from researching your next trip and admire these stunning images, broken down in to 4 categories – wildlife, landscape, travel icons and people.

The winners of the competition will be announced at the Destinations Show, London on Friday 1 February, in the Meet the Experts Theatre. The ceremony will be open to the public so you can come and see what the competition judges have to say about each image and if their winners match your favourites.
