Street Photography: Out of Your Comfort Zone

The best thing about travelling to a new country is getting up close and personal with the sights, the sounds, the smells and the tastes; and for those of us who are photographers that means ditching the telephoto lens as much as possible.

As the infamous Hungarian photographer Robert Capa said, “If your pictures aren’t good enough, you’re not close enough.” After all good street photography is much more than simply a visual memory, it
should get the photographer out their comfort zone; force them to interact with the surroundings and come away with images dripping with the senses.
