Title: Trekking in Turkey: New Long Distance Trails
Speaker: Kate Clow
Company: Turkish Culture and Tourism Office UK
Turkey's first long distance walk, the Lycian Way, is 10 years old. During that time, the St Paul Trail, routes in the Kaçkar mountains, trails in the Yenice forest and other new trails are either open or will opens shortly.
The originator of the Lycian Way, Kate Clow, is in London to give an overview of that trail and to open your eyes to other wild areas of Turkey. Coastal trails, high mountain trails, trails following Roman roads, trails through old-growth forest, canyon trails, lakeside trails, Turkey now has a trail for all seasons. A warm welcome awaits you in the villages, forests, mountains and countryside of this huge country.
Kate has the lowdown on the trails, combined trek and adventure holidays, soft trekking for families and boutique places to stay. Or visit the Turkish stand to meet experienced guides and operators, discuss suggested programmes and get the latest info. www.trekkinginturkey.com, www.gototurkey.co.uk
