Brewer & Author
Tommy Barnes grew up in Hertfordshire in the 80s. His story is a hilarious, real-life account of a young man's attempt to escape the rat race and a miniscule flat in London and head to a large dilapidated house in a tiny rural village in the picturesque Loire Valley. His new life turns out to be far less idyllic then planned and when he is about to return, defeated to London he has an epiphany. He decides to start his own microbrewery and so begins his new life as an accidental expert in all the trials and tribulations of beer brewing.
Tommy will be talking to Julia Wheeler on Friday 1st February at 11am. After the event, he will be signing copies of his book A Beer in the Loire at the 'Signings at Stanfords' stand.
