About Oman Air

Oman Air is the flagship carrier of the Sultanate of Oman and an Official 4 Star Airline (Skytrax 2011). Founded in 1993, the airline has since witnessed massive growth and has played a major role in making Muscat an important traffic hub in the Middle East, supporting the commercial, industrial and tourism sectors.


The airline currently operates direct flights from Manchester and London Heathrow to Muscat and onward to over 30 destinations in Far East, Indian Sub-Continent, Africa and Middle East

Currently Oman Air’s fleet consists of three Boeing 787-8, five 787-9 Dreamliners, six Airbus 330-300s, four Airbus 330-200s, five Boeing 737-900s, 21 Boeing 737-800, four Embraer 175s and five 737 MAX.


By the end of 2018 Oman Air will have taken delivery of five new MAX aircraft and three 787-9s. By 2022, Oman Air’s total fleet size is expected to be around 70.


Oman Air’s outstanding aircraft interiors include its First Class Private Suite, which provides each of the First Class passengers with fully enclosed, extra tall, Suite with doors to ensure privacy and converts to a very comfortable lie-flat seat in the skies. The outstanding Business Class seats each provide easy aisle access, ample storage space and the latest technological amenities. Economy Class seats offer adjustable head and leg rests, together with generous leg and elbow room. State of the art in-flight entertainment systems feature individual seatback screens, audio and video on demand and live satellite TV. In addition, Oman Air has pioneered both mobile telephony and Internet connectivity on board its wide-bodied flights and this is available in all three classes.

Seven Stars Luxury Lifestyle and Hospitality Awards 2018Oman Air, was awarded for the third year in row as “Best Airline in Europe, Middle East and Africa” within the Seven Stars Luxury Lifestyle and Hospitality Awards 2018.


Oman Air wins the Award for Airline of the year Middle East 2018 at the 2018 Aviation Business Awards function held in Dubai recently. The award is instituted by The ITP Media Group and AVB publication based in UAE.


Frontier Awards:Oman Air and Muscat Duty Free awarded Inflight Retailer of the Year at the Frontier Awards at a function held in Cannes, France, this year.


Oman Air wins Middle East's Leading Airline Business & Economy Class 2018 awards: Oman Air, the award-winning national carrier for the Sultanate of Oman, has been recognised as “The Middle East's Leading Airline” in both the Business Class and Economy Class categories, at the World Travel Awards held in the lead up to Arabian Travel Market.
