Cathy Toogood is a freelance travel journalist based in Manchester. As a proud Mancunian, she specialises in writing about the city she grew up in and still calls home. But she also enjoys writing about her travels elsewhere – from gorilla trekking in Rwanda and a family trip to the Jersey Shore to a luxury tour in Mexico discovering more about the story of the Maya people. As well as travelling with her children, Cathy enjoys adventuring solo, and loves the luxury of guided tours where someone else plans the logistics.
