Introduction
John Torode is best known as the straight-talking co-host and judge of fifteen seasons of BBC1’s MasterChef, a regular guest chef on ITV’s This Morning and co-host of the John & Lisa’s Weekend Kitchen on Sunday mornings. Australian by birth, John is credited as one of the main players in introducing Australasian food to the UK opening popular restaurants Smiths of Smithfield and Luxe at Spitalfields Market.
John has taken on the role of APT’s ambassador for the Kimberley, Western Australia. Ranked alongside the Polar Regions as one of the last remaining wildernesses on earth, John was blown away by the destination on his first trip earlier this year. The Kimberley is almost double the size of the UK, features dinosaur footprints, ancient rock art and some of the most jaw dropping natural phenomena in the world. John’s passion for the Kimberley will leave you wondering how you’ve missed this side of Australia before.
