Mary-Ann Ochota specialises in anthropology and archaeology. Her television and radio work has seen her travel widely for Animal Planet, Radio 4, Channel 4, Time Team and she recently presented the BBC2 series Britain Afloat. She writes for publications including the Telegraph and Countryfile Magazine. Her latest book, Hidden Histories: A Spotter’s Guide to the British Landscape, reveals the features you can spot in the countryside around you. She is a Fellow of the Royal Geographical Society and a Hillwalking Ambassador for the British Mountaineering Council.
Mary-Ann will be talking about Reading the Landscape alongside Tristan Gooley on Friday 1st February at 3pm. After the event, Mary-Ann will be signing copies of her book Hidden Histories: A Spotter’s Guide to the British Landscape at the 'Signings at Stanfords' stand.
