This 13-day Best of Namibia Tour from Cape Town to Windhoek meanders through big sky country, Namibia! On departing Cape Town, you will stop to take the quintessential picture of Table Mountain from across Table Bay.  Namaqualand presents us with our first experience of the Desert vistas that will accompany us in the days ahead as we travel to our overnight stop on the banks of the Orange River. If you are fortunate enough to be travelling in the spring months (July to September) you may encounter the wild flowers that have made this region famous.   The next days are all about the Namib Desert, starting with a visit to the Fish River Canyon as we watch the morning sunrays filer through the canyon before we reach the long dusty roads and sparsely populated farmlands of rural Namibia. From the grasslands in the east to the red dunes of the west the slowly changing landscapes represents the many faces of this desert country. Dune 45 offers us the perfect vantage point to marvel at the changing colours of the desert, and after our walk up this famous sand dune, we catch a 4x4 transfer into Sossusvlei and explore on foot, visiting the pans at Sossusvlei and Deadvlei. Crossing the Tropic of Capricorn, we continue west and make our way to the coastal town of Swakopmund, where a dose of civilisation await. Swakopmund offers all the conveniences of a small city and is the perfect launching pad for the journey through the northern reaches of the land. This tour is not complete without a visit to one of the world’s finest game park,  Etosha National Park. Etosha is the venue for some of the most unique game viewing experiences in Africa and will spend our time game viewing from the comfort of our Nomad truck.  From Etosha we take aim for Namibia’s capital, Windhoek, where your tour will come to an end after a short city orientation walking tour.
