Nadine Rankin

Travel Expert , Tobago Beyond

As a travel industry professional for over 38 years Nadine has travelled extensively both for work and pleasure throughout Europe, the USA, the Caribbean, Mexico, Africa and Australasia.   She first travelled to Tobago in 1991 where, on her first night on the island, she got to join the Turtle Watch and witnessed the wonder of a turtle nesting.  She has been involved in tourism to Tobago in varying forms ever since and took over the job as UK representative for the Tobago Tourism Agency in 2011.  As she will tell you – the island has hardly changed since she first visited in her days contracting hotels for Kuoni Travel.  Indeed – most of it remains untouched as the island celebrates the anniversary of one of the oldest-known pieces of conservation legislation in the world, the protection of its Main Ridge Forest Reserve, established in 1776.
