Penny Smith is a television and radio presenter, newsreader, journalist and travel ambassador. Penny's career as a reporter begun at the Peterborough Evening Telegraph, after four years she left to backpack through Central and South America and Southeast Asia where she reported and presented on a current affairs programme for Radio Television Hong Kong. 

Penny has since been a reporter/presenter on Radio Trent, Border Television, Thames News, Sky News and GMTV, Talk Radio and Classic FM. Penny has written for a number of national newspapers and magazines, including Femail, 'Essentials' magazine, Good Housekeeping, Woman and Home and now a regular contributor to Yours Magazine and hosts a podcast Pains, Stains and Automobiles with Charles Nove.

Since 2017 Penny has been a travel ambassador for Travelsphere, an escorted tour company, travelling with them to destinations across the globe including India, Uzbekistan, South Africa, Jordan, Italy and Croatia.
