Focus on my favourite Portuguese islands – Flores in the Azores and Fogo in Cape Verde.

Travel is not a bucket list of places you visit in your lifetime; it’s about the people we meet during our travels, the quality of time you have in the places you visit and the friends we make in the end.

During the presentation, I want to focus on my favourite island in the Azores, Flores a lush volcanic island with flowers and my favourite island in Cape Verde, Fogo the island of fire  – they have more in common than just the first letter ‘F!’

I'll talk about the similarities and differences between the islands and show some of the most amazing drone footage made by a talented videographer who was commissioned by us and spent some time on both islands. The talk will also include interviews with some of our friends who live on Flores and Fogo and who share our love of these remote places of the world.

Land of the Lemurs – Fall in Love with Madagascar

Pioneer Director, Laurenne, has a deep knowledge and understanding of Madagascar and it is her favourite destination in the world.

In this talk Laurenne offers her personal  insight to this unique country : - providing information on the the numerous stunning national parks along with the lemurs that reside in them, allowing you to get  a real feel for Madagascar and what it has to offer.  As well as the highlights, this talk also gives a real honest and human perspective offering  some of the challenges  of  travel to Madagascar, advice on trip planning (you can’t see it all in 2 weeks!)  as well as giving further information of when to travel and hidden gems to discover!.  If Madagascar is on your bucket list, we would highly recommend this talk.

Wildlife Exposed - From the plains to the poles

The Sunday Times described Paul as a 'wildlife guide of preposterous gusto ' and this translates into his lectures which are lavishly illustrated as ever with a whole new crop of images. 'No-one will pull you up the photographic tree higher, or quicker' is how they also described him. Outspoken, eloquent and opinionated, come and get a wildlife fix.

Brilliant Baja!

On a recent visit to Mexico's Baja Peninsula, Helen’s expectations were blown out of the water by the incredible wildlife on offer. From leaping dolphins, somersaulting mobulas and flying fish, to more breaching humpbacks than you could shake a stick at! This marine mammal extravaganza has left an indelible impression!

Thematic Expert Lead Tours for Superlative Travel Experiences

This session will be focused on how the trend towards deep, expert lead travel can lead to the most satisfying travel experiences. As most of the Western world travel's more frequently with each year, there is a yearning to get under the skin of local cultures and places in a way that can only be achieved with expert local guides or highly engaging experiences. Modern-day travel companies are now tailoring to this need by putting together flexible but thematic itineraries accompanied by leading experts to share their unique knowledge. Whether it be a spy and espionage itinerary in Berlin, mob tours of New York or political tours of Washington there is an emergence of a new genre of travel.
