Our two Meet the Experts Theatres play host to expert talks covering the different corners of the globe. Our TV Celebrity and travel expert speakers give you unique insight into their experiences and take you on fascinating and memorable journeys to inspire your next adventure with more than 50 hours of free talks.

You can discover the hidden places of Borneo and Indonesia that tourists never see, learn about 5,000 years of Pakistan's history and culture and go on a journey to some of the world's most beautiful and dramatic scenery in Patagonia with our experts. From the wilderness of Alaska to the tropical paradise that is Sri Lanka, there really is something for everyone at Destinations.

The 2019 line-up welcomed:

Kate Humble – An English television presenter, author and narrator. Kate talks to Julia Wheeler about the benefits of walking and her book Thinking on My Feet in which she recorded her walks (and runs) throughout a single year, but also charted her feelings and impressions throughout. 

Benedict Allen – A TV Presenter, Explorer and Author discusses travels and adventures in Papua New Guinea with Kate Humble.

Stanley Johnson – Novelist and former MP, Stanley is also the Winner of Newdigate Prize for Poetry, WWF Leader of the Living Planet Award, RSPB Medal, Greenpeace Award and RSPCA Richard Martin Award. Stanley discusses his love for New Zealand in the ‘New Zealand has it all’ presentation.

Gennaro Contaldo – The renowned Chef & Citalia Brand Ambassador speaks about ‘Spotlight On The Amalfi Coast’, highlighting the best local specialities and mouth-watering places to eat. (pictured)

Penny Smith – The Travelsphere Ambassador and TV Presenter talks about why ‘Escorted Touring is a great way to see the world’.  Penny also speaks about her travels to India and the Amalfi Coast with Travelsphere.

Paul Goldstein – The popular Guide, Wildlife Photographer & Presenter speaks about Georgia on my mind - Antarctica and South Georgia and Wildlife Exposed - From the plains to the poles with Exodus.
